Drivers of household energy conservation

Funding agency:  Institute for Renewable Energy and Efficiency, 9/11-9/14. PI: L. Baker; co-PIs: Jay Coggins (Dept. Applied Economics) and Kristen Nelson (Dept. Forest Resources and Dept. Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology)

This goals of this project were: (1)  to examine relationships among various types of energy use in households (natural gas, electricity, auto travel, and air travel) in relation to household characteristics (number and age of household members, size of house, etc.) and (2) to develop a metric of energy poverty for owner-occupied homes.
